This week, Jessica attends the funeral of her uncle and is surprised when his lawyer, Brad Lockwood (David Doyle) informs her that she has been bequeathed his interest in the local pro football team, the Leopards. There are two larger ownership stakes, but her small share is the casting vote in any dispute and is coveted by multiple parties, including Phil Kreuger (Allan Miller), an unpleasant type who soon shows up dead. The prime suspect is Zak Farrell (Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner), while entrepreneur Web McCord (John Beck) is also on the radar. Team captain Tank Mason (Dick Butkus), coach Pat Patillo (Warren Berlinger) and former shareholder Grover Dillon (James McEachin) also have an interest, while league commissioner Harris Talmadge (Gary Lockwood) lurks around the edges.
